In the autumn of 1956, the predecessor of our school, the Xuejia Junior High School Branch, was established under the jurisdiction of the Beimen Agricultural and Vocational School. Mr. Liu Zhi, the academic director of the Beimen Agricultural and Vocational School, was appointed to oversee the branch's affairs. In September of 1956, four classes were enrolled, and classes were held at the former site of Xuejia Elementary School in Yixiu Village (currently the automotive practice workshop of Tianren Vocational High School).
During the initial establishment of the school, the conditions were extremely challenging, and everything was makeshift. By the autumn of 1958, the number of classes had gradually increased to eleven. Due to insufficient classrooms, temporary straw huts were constructed to serve as teaching venues. Despite the hardships of wind and rain, the difficulties were evident. Fortunately, thanks to the collective effort and perseverance of all the teachers and students, the continuation of education and the pursuit of knowledge were maintained.
With the assistance of Mr. Chen Huazong, the current school site was found in March 1959. The following January, the construction was completed, and the entire school moved to the new location. After several rounds of improvements and enhancements, the school had taken shape. In June 1960, it was officially approved to become an independent institution, and was formally named "Tainan County Xuejia Junior High School." The former branch director Mr. Liu Zhi was appointed as the first principal.
In October 1965, Principal Liu was transferred to Zengwen Junior High School, and his position was filled by Mr. Huang Huachang, the principal of Shanhua Junior High School, who became the second principal of our school.
Starting in August 1968, with the nationwide implementation of nine-year compulsory education, our school was restructured and renamed “ Tainan County Xuejia Junior High School ”.
In August 1971, Principal Huang was transferred to Shijia Junior High School in Kaohsiung City, and Mr. Wang Zhuchen succeeded him as the third principal. In November 1972, Mr. Lin Hui, the principal of Yanshui Junior High School, was appointed to concurrently serve as the fourth principal of our school. In February 1973, Mr. Shen Zhengfan took over as the fifth principal. In July 1975, Principal Shen was transferred to Provincial Wufeng Agricultural and Industrial Vocational School, and Mr. Wang Chengzhu succeeded him as the sixth principal. In August 1982, Mr. Wang Maode became the seventh principal, followed by Mr. Chen Tinghui in August 1989, who served as the eighth principal. In early February 1993, Principal Chen retired, and Ms. Lin Shu'e took over as principal, serving for seven and a half years.
In August 2000, Principal Lin was transferred to Madou Junior High School, and Mr. Chen Xinchun became the principal. In February 2005, Principal Chen retired, and Ms. Li Yugui, the director of academic affairs, served as acting principal for six months. In August of the same year, Mr. Chen Jinde, the principal of Yujing Junior High School, was appointed as the new principal.
In August 2007, Principal Chen retired, and Ms. Jiang Shuyan from Yungjen High School became the thirteenth principal of our school.
In August 2013, Mr. Wang Shengming, the principal of Taizi Junior High School, took over as the fourteenth and fifteenth principal, and he retired in July 2021.
In August 2021, Mr. Chen Junxiong was appointed as the sixteenth principal.
Our school has now been established for over 65 years, during which time successive principals have carefully planned and managed its development. Through the dedicated efforts of the entire faculty and staff, who have worked together with determination and perseverance, the school has continuously progressed. Significant achievements include the expansion of school buildings and classrooms, effective use of community resources, increasing the number of student classes, beautifying the campus environment, securing scholarships and financial aid, fostering students' character, and promoting a strong academic atmosphere. These accomplishments demonstrate the school's outstanding progress.
